Barangay Old Kawayan in Tacloban is a community badly hit by Typhoon Haiyan in 2013. In January 2014, GKONOMICS through the Mabuhay Restop social enterprise facilitated a volunteerism tour there which paved the way for fruitful partnerships and engagements that now help the community. KLIKme is one such program.
The January 2014 Mabuhay Leyte Tour organized by Mabuhay Restop brought visitors from the US and Canada to Tacloban. It was a powerful five-day experience which opened the door to many meaningful engagements that are now helping the impoverished people in the community - from individual educational scholarships, construction of infrastructures, support of social programs in the community, to livelihood training and enterprise development,
KLIKme is a long term investment to help break the cycle of poverty for more families in the community.
