Welcome to KLIKme Smokey Mountain
Smokey Mountain in Manila is known as a notoriously impoverished community, a garbage dumpsite the size of a huge mountain. Garbage was continuously burned, hence the “smokey” name. Majority of residents have not completed high school & have minimal digital literacy. KLIKme hopes to make a positive difference.

Reynaldo "Bong" Macatula and his wife Mia Encarnacion Macatula are longtime supporters of GKONOMICS, having sponsored GKONOMICS scholars at Dualtech Learning Center and MINT College, and also consistently donating tp the annual Kiddie Paskuhan that brings Christmas cheer to disadvantaged children in the Philippines.
In 2022, Bong embraced KLIKme and initiated a ground-breaking funding drive for two KLIKme communities with his generous employer, Capital Group, and fellow Filipino-American co-workers at Capital Group.

One of the first two pilot communities of KLIKme in 2016 is Paradise Heights-Smokey Mountain, Manila. GKONOMICS has been working with the community since 2009 with various livelihood projects.
